Celebrity Millennium "Best of Japan" Last Day in Aomori at Nebuta Museum and Temple

Our last port of call from our Celebrity Millennium "Best of Japan" Cruise was the city of Aomori famous for its Apples and the Nebuta Festival in August. We pre-booked this morning excursion ahead of time and it cost us £146 with a 10% early bird discount, this includes entry to the Nebuta Museum along with the coach ride to and from a Buddhist Temple where the largest sitting Buddha is part of the complex. Previously we were in Hakodate and you can see that video here: https://youtu.be/nX48U5kJGFw The Nebuta 'sculptures' are massive and even with some research nothing prepares you for the colour, scale, and skill that goes into making these remarkable floats that are carried through the streets of Aomori in August at the Nebuta Festival. It's close enough to the terminal to take your own tour and the entrance fee was ¥640 each, it's a must visit attraction if you're in Aomori. The second stop was about 30 minutes away, another peaceful temple made even better by the sun coming out, beautiful Pagoda, grounds and the large sitting Buddha, again a great way to end our shore visits from the cruise.
