Join me on a day trip to beautiful Alghero in Sardinia, Italy. Its a wonderful cruise port. It was filmed during a Mediterranean cruise on Cunard, Queen Victoria. In the morning I join a cruise excursion to visit a beach club called Palm Beach on stunning Mugoni Beach. Enjoying the bar, restaurant, sun beds, white sand and the crystal clear, warm shallow sea for swimming. In the afternoon I wander and explore the narrow streets of the fascinating medieval old town. Have a look at the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Tower of Porta Terra and the shops selling red coral and colourful gifts and souvenirs. Finally a look at the waterfront with a lovely promenade lined with bars and restaurants enjoying sea views. It's a beautiful and historic city!
