P & O Arvia Cruise Adventure - Summer 2023 - Part 1 - Embarkation Day
Hi Everyone! Welcome to another travel series as we board the P&O Arvia or a cruise round the Mediterranean. Nothing beats the feeling of embarkation day, when you board a cruise ship for the first time knowing that you have 14 glorious days ahead of you. We did not film the journey down as we used the Cruise connect bus transfer service, which was well organised and got us to the port at around 1pm. After boarding we visited our muster station prior to dropping off our things in the room. It was then time to explore the ship and lunch at the Quays beckoned our call. We both had the Katsu curry which quickly became a favourite staple from the tQuays when we fancied a quick bite to eat. Once we had finished lunch, we walked around the main atrium decks to find out where all the bards, restaurants and shopping areas were, and enjoyed a leisurely walk around the promenade deck on deck 8. We then went up to the higher decks to see where the pools were as well as discovering the buffet and Crows Nest bar. It was soon time for dinner and we decided to give 6th Street Diner a try for our first meal on board. The atmosphere was pleasant, and food ok, however we preferred the food and ambience in the main dining rooms as well as the Olive Grove on our cruise. We had the opportunity to watch some acrobatics and Spanish dancing before we called it a night after a long day.
