Cruise Passengers are Angry After Woman Survives Overboard!
A woman went overboard from Royal Caribbean’s Odyssey of the Seas — and somehow, after an incredible search and rescue effort, she was found alive. That should be the end of an amazing survival story. Except the rescue caused the ship to miss its scheduled stop in Naples, Italy… and some passengers weren’t happy about it. Passengers started discussing refunds and compensation for the missed port, while others raised an even bigger question: When someone else’s emergency disrupts your cruise, what does the cruise line actually owe you? Look, I get being disappointed. Cruises cost thousands of dollars, people plan these vacations months or even years in advance, and for some passengers, Naples, Pompeii or Mount Vesuvius may have been the entire reason they booked the trip. But somebody was fighting for their life in the ocean. So where do you draw the line? In this video, we’re talking about what happened, the incredible rescue, the reaction from passengers, and whether passengers should expect compensation when an emergency causes their cruise itinerary to change. What do YOU think? If your cruise missed the port you wanted to visit most because of a rescue at sea, would you expect compensation? Stay curious and take the next detour. #CruiseDetours #RoyalCaribbean #CruiseNews #CruiseShip #Cruising
