Today's cruise news: A 44-year-old Georgia man was arrested on felony child abuse charges after allegedly striking two children playing tag in the hallways of Carnival Glory, and was released on a $20,000 bond pending an August court date. Celebrity Cruises has raised daily gratuities fleetwide by $1.50 per guest, angering passengers who say the notice arrived the same day the increase took effect, leaving no chance to prepay at the old rate. And guests aboard Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas returned to find water pouring from the ceiling and flooding their cabin, reigniting debate over how cruise lines should compensate affected passengers.
