Welcome back to Episode 4 of our Alaska Adventure Series aboard the Norwegian Joy! 🚂🏔️ Today we're visiting the historic town of Skagway, Alaska, home to one of the most famous train rides in the world—the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. We booked our train tickets ahead of time and chose an early departure so we'd have plenty of time to explore Skagway after the ride. It turned out to be a great decision! The White Pass Railroad takes you through breathtaking mountain scenery, towering cliffs, waterfalls, and incredible views you simply can't experience by car. It's a relaxing excursion that's perfect for families, first-time visitors, and anyone with mobility concerns. After our train ride, we spent some time walking through downtown Skagway, enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, browsing the shops, and taking in the history of this former Gold Rush town. While Skagway is a charming place to visit, it's a smaller port with fewer attractions than some of the others on our itinerary. If you're visiting, I definitely recommend planning an excursion in advance to make the most of your day.
