Sosúa, Dominican Republic isn’t what it used to be. From Uber negotiations to beach prices, pina coladas, and the government crackdown on prostitution, this is an honest walk through Sosúa in 2024. In this vlog, we visit Playa Sosúa on Boxing Day to see what’s changed — the costs, the beach culture, the hustlers, the food, and whether Sosúa is still the “cheap and wild” destination people remember. We take an Uber from the cruise port, deal with real-world negotiations, reconnect with longtime beach locals, and break down exactly how much a day at Playa Sosúa costs now — chairs, drinks, mofongo, and more. Sosúa has long been known for sex tourism, but after recent police and military raids, the town is clearly changing. Is it becoming more family-friendly, or did the crackdown go too far? This isn’t a hype video — it’s a real, unscripted look at Sosúa today: the good, the awkward, the expensive, and the beautiful. 💬 Have you been to Sosúa recently?
