Mekong Princess Cruise Day 4 | Gieng Island, Hong Ngu & Crossing into Cambodia
Day 4 of our Mekong Princess cruise takes us deeper into the Mekong Delta — from the craftsmanship of Gieng Island to the weaving and embroidery communities of Hong Ngu, two of the most fascinating stops on this Vietnam–Cambodia river journey. These villages reveal how life along the Mekong is shaped by skill, tradition, and community. Back onboard the Mekong Princess, we farewell our Vietnamese guide, Khai, whose insight and kindness gave us a rare glimpse into daily life on the river. As the ship continues upstream, we cross into Cambodia — a natural continuation of the story unfolding along the Mekong. Later in the afternoon, the Executive Chef hosts a cooking demonstration featuring green papaya salad and fish amok, followed by a beautifully decorated “Farewell to Vietnam” dinner as the Mekong Princess makes her way further into Cambodia.
