The WORST Cruise Excursion We've EVER Done | Virgin Voyages
Today we’re taking you off Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady for what was supposed to be an incredible day exploring the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Town and Pompeii. We’d booked "Riviera to Ruins: Amalfi Coast & Pompeii", a nine-hour Shore Things cruise excursion from Salerno, taking us along the stunning Amalfi Coast, with time to explore Amalfi Town, a traditional Italian lunch filled with the regional flavours of Southern Italy, and then a guided tour of the ancient city of Pompeii. On paper, it sounded pretty much perfect. In reality… well, this was genuinely the worst excursion we’ve ever done. 😂 Come along with us as we discover Amalfi Town, head back to Salerno, tuck into a supposedly traditional Italian lunch, and eventually reach the ancient ruins of Pompeii. Let's just say… things didn't quite go to plan and left us wondering whether we should have just stayed on the ship!
