Motril & Ibiza, Spain | Two Spanish Cruise Stops That Surprised Us 🇪🇸
In this video, we explored two very different cruise stops in Spain: Motril and Ibiza. From the fascinating Sugar Cane Museum in Motril to the breathtaking views from Ibiza's Old Town, both destinations surprised us in their own way. Every cruise stop tells a different story, and this one gave us a chance to experience two completely different sides of Spain. Our first stop was Motril, on the Costa Tropical. While many visitors head straight for the beach, Emma and I visited the Sugar Cane Museum, where we learned how sugar cane shaped the history and economy of the region for centuries. It was a fascinating glimpse into a part of Spain's past that we knew almost nothing about before arriving. The next day we arrived in Ibiza. Instead of focusing on the island's famous nightlife, we wandered through Dalt Vila, Ibiza's UNESCO-listed Old Town. Climbing its cobbled streets rewarded us with incredible views over the harbor, our cruise ship, and the sparkling Mediterranean. It was peaceful, beautiful, and a reminder that Ibiza has so much more to offer than most people expect. These are the kinds of experiences we love most as a traveling family. Whether it's uncovering local history in a quiet museum or admiring a city from centuries-old walls, worldschooling allows us to connect with places in ways we never imagined.
