Why We Loved Cruising Alaska with Celebrity

Thinking about an Alaska cruise? Celebrity Cruises is one of my favorite ways to experience it. My family sailed aboard Celebrity Summit from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, and it remains one of our favorite vacations we've ever taken. And don't assume Alaska is a trip you have to save for retirement. We took our three kids—a teenager, a preteen and an elementary-aged child—and they loved it. Hiking, glaciers, wildlife, sled dogs and incredible scenery made Alaska an experience our entire family wants to do again. For our sailing, we stayed in a Royal Suite in The Retreat, which added another level to the experience with suite amenities and personalized service. But you don't need to stay in a suite to have an incredible Alaska cruise. I do recommend considering a veranda so you can enjoy those Alaska views right from your stateroom. If you're considering Alaska in 2027 or 2028, now is the time to start looking at your options.
