When the world is stable and people can travel freely, it is easier for DMCs to be the bridge. He says events in the Middle East this year have caused a lot of chaos in their work. 8. On sustainability, he says a DMC knows the destination and knows how to persuade travel agencies. Agencies may pick the easiest or cheapest itinerary, but a DMC can suggest staying two nights in one hotel to reduce energy use. He says Scandinavia loved this. 9. He also says they can point clients to an eco-friendly cruise ship, with silent trips and a chance to see the landscape instead of old diesel ships that pollute the environment. 10. He says the event’s topic in Malta is seamless travel. He believes governments have reached an agreement to make the process smooth, and the private sector can follow the policy and make it happen, which he calls seamless cooperation.
