CRUISE NEWS: Six Cruisers Arrested Before Sailing, Coast Guard Airlifts Guest, & Cruise Evacuation
Today's cruise news: A 29-year-old passenger aboard Carnival Sunrise suffered pregnancy complications just minutes after leaving PortMiami, triggering an urgent Coast Guard evacuation back to shore while the ship stayed on course. A 51-year-old passenger showed signs of a stroke and was airlifted by a Coast Guard helicopter battling 40 mph winds and 10-foot waves before being rushed to the hospital in stable condition. And six cruise guests were arrested at Port Canaveral after background checks uncovered warrants and probation violations, yet every ship still departed on schedule.
