Imperial Rome Tour from a Cruise | Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum & Colosseum

Join us for an unforgettable day in **Rome, Italy** as we take the **Imperial Rome Tour** during our Mediterranean cruise! 🇮🇹🚢 This was a long but incredible day packed with history, architecture, and some of the most famous sights in Rome. We traveled by coach from the cruise port to Rome as part of a small-group tour, with multiple stops throughout the city. Our day began at **Vatican City**, where we visited the Basilica before heading back to the coach and continuing into the heart of Rome. We then stopped at the famous **Trevi Fountain**, where we had about an hour to explore on our own. One of the highlights of the day for me was finding an **AIC-certified gluten-free restaurant** for lunch. The restaurant had two separate kitchens, and the entire meal could be prepared gluten-free. Being able to sit down and enjoy authentic Italian food without having to worry about gluten was such an amazing experience! After lunch, we walked toward the **Roman Forum**, where we learned about the history of Ancient Rome, including fascinating stories about **Julius Caesar** and the Roman Empire. We finished our day with a visit to the incredible **Colosseum**.
