HUGE NEWS! Emergency Stations Called on Island Princess! BIG Princess Changes | Cruise Date 17
Something happened aboard Island Princess that I've never experienced before in all our years of cruising! The captain called the crew to their emergency stations, and I have to tell you, it got my attention in a hurry! Hi there! This is Allison with Let's Go! Travel Tips! Today is Cruise Date 17 of our 50-day Grand Mediterranean Odyssey aboard Princess Cruises' Island Princess. Yesterday morning, we were awakened by an announcement calling emergency personnel to the ship's incinerator room. A short time later, the captain called all crew members to their emergency stations. I've been on a lot of cruises, but I've never experienced that before. I immediately began getting ready, making sure we had our medications and passports handy in case we received further instructions. Thankfully, the captain later announced that everything was under control and the crew could leave their emergency stations. Passengers were not instructed to muster or abandon ship. I'm sharing what we personally experienced, what other passengers told us about what was happening around the ship, and a conversation I had afterward with one of our crew members that really touched my heart. We also have important news from Princess Cruises! Princess is expanding its Sanctuary Collection to Royal Class ships, beginning with Royal Princess in January 2027. We're discussing what that means for guests who enjoy the traditional Sanctuary, the upcoming rollout dates, and the new booking options. We're also sharing a report from a Let's Go! Family member aboard Regal Princess about a call for blood donors following a reported medical emergency. Have you ever been aboard a cruise ship when the crew was called to emergency stations? And what do you think about Princess expanding its Sanctuary Collection? Thank you so much for joining us and being part of our Let's Go! Family. We appreciate all of you!
