Palma de Mallorca, Spain, is such a beautiful place to visit on a cruise! But there's something very important you need to know about getting out of the cruise port and meeting your shore excursions. It can make a big difference in how your day goes! Hi there! This is Allison with Let's Go! Travel Tips! Today we're sharing Cruise Date 15 of our 50-day Grand Mediterranean Odyssey aboard Princess Cruises' Island Princess. We visited Palma de Mallorca on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Gordon and I had a lovely day exploring Palma on our own. We took the Princess shuttle into town, enjoyed walking along the beautiful tree-lined pedestrian streets, did a little shopping, had something delicious to eat, and admired the lovely cathedral, palace and surrounding park. It was raining quite hard when we first got off the ship, but thankfully the weather improved, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing day exploring this beautiful city. I especially want to share some important information about the cruise port. Depending on where your ship docks and where your excursion meets, you may have quite a distance to travel before reaching your transportation. During our visit, Princess offered a shuttle into town for $15 per person, with return trips included. If you're booking an independent excursion, please pay close attention to the meeting location and allow enough time to get there. One member of our Let's Go! Family experienced considerable confusion trying to meet a Shore Excursion Group tour. The passengers and tour provider couldn't find each other at first, even after contacting the company's assistance number. They eventually connected and enjoyed an excellent excursion, but getting started was frustrating. We're talking about why this can happen, how different tour companies arrange their transportation, and why it's important to understand whether your excursion meets at the ship, inside the port, or somewhere outside the port gates. We're also sharing our experiences with Princess excursions and independent providers, including Shore Excursion Group and Viator. Have you visited Palma de Mallorca?
