What would Isaac from The Love Boat tell today’s cruisers? In this special interview, I sit down with Ted Lange, the iconic actor behind one of television’s most beloved cruise characters, to talk all things modern cruising, Princess Cruises’ 50 years in Australia, and of course… Isaac’s top cruise tip! Ted shares his thoughts on today’s mega-ships, what’s changed since the days of The Love Boat, and what hasn’t changed at all. We also chat about his famous two-finger point (yes, he improvised it!), his bartender training, and his advice for anyone stepping onboard a ship in 2025 and beyond. Whether you grew up watching The Love Boat or you’re a modern cruiser looking for expert insight, this is a fun, nostalgic, and surprisingly practical conversation you won’t want to miss.
