Summer Adventure 2024 - Part 9 - Anthem of the Seas - Embarkation Day

Hi Everyone, Welcome to our embarkation day vlog, as we board Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas. We have been looking forward to this cruise for quite some time and it will be our first time cruising to the Norwegian fjords. After boarding the ship, we go and explore, taking in our new surroundings and the different layout of the ship. The indoor gallery is similar to the MSC Virtuosa from the week before, minus the LED screen, and with shops and restaurants found over two floors. We collect our soft drink mugs as we have the soft drink package which we found to be great value for money. Prices can fluctuate, and we are currently reviewing prices for the drink package for our next cruise on Royal Caribbean in 2026. We then visit Jamie's Italian for lunch, and had an excellent meal here! All the food was very good and highlight was the huge cheesecake which was almost as big as Emily's head! After this it was time to check out our room. We had a virtual interior room and loved being able to see outside from our interior room! The room was nice and spacious with Emily's bed being a sofa bed. No bunks is always a bonus! Following on from a bit of relaxation in the room, we head to the main dining room for dinner. Dinner in the main dining room was a mid experience and we cannot recommend the prime rib. Next time we embark a Royal Caribbean cruise we will choose an alternative dining option. However, the service was outstanding, and we found this to be the same for all areas of the ship. Once we had eaten we decided to go for a wonder round the ship in order to gain our bearings for the next seven days. We also enjoyed a look inside the boutiques following spillway, and had a look around the Windjammer buffet before having a light snack prior to heading to watch the introductory welcome show in the theatre.
