LA DAY 3 🌮🎼🛍️ Grand Central Market, Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Grove & moving to Anaheim ✨
👋 Welcome to Day 3 in Los Angeles! Today is my final full day in LA before heading to Anaheim, and it’s a proper mix of sightseeing, food, architecture, and a VERY exciting Disney twist at the end. ✨🌴 I start the day by hopping on the Metro from Culver City and heading downtown to Grand Central Market. It might technically be breakfast time, but that doesn’t stop me from grabbing a taco and a Nonna’s empanada - no regrets. The vibe inside the market is SO cool, with neon signs everywhere and an unreal choice of food. I would’ve loved to try Eggslut (which was founded in LA!) or some of the Asian food spots, but I do manage to grab a mango juice that I am genuinely still thinking about now. It was incredible. 🥭✨ Just across the road is Angel’s Flight, which of course I had to visit because it features in a montage in La La Land - one of my favourite films of ALL TIME. Sadly the railway itself was closed and the ticket office experience wasn’t the best, but I’m still glad I walked up to the top and got all the photos anyway. Living my La La Land dreams regardless. 🎶🌆 Next up, I head to the stunning Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by Frank Gehry (the same architect behind the Guggenheim in Bilbao - which I actually visited on a Disney Cruise!). You can totally see the similarities between the two buildings. I head inside for the free audio tour, learning all about the design, architecture, and Lillian Disney, who funded the hall in memory of Walt Disney. A really special stop for any Disney fan. 🖤✨ After that, I jump back on the Metro and then into an Uber and make my way to The Grove for a little mooch. I pop into a few shops - Adikted was very cool - and then spend FAR too long in the Barnes & Noble, which was honestly unreal. Taylor Swift book stands, massive Fourth Wing / Basgiath War College banners… I was obsessed. I also wander around the Farmers Market and pop into Pottery Barn for a browse. At this point I realise I haven’t eaten nearly enough, so I head to The Cheesecake Factory for an obligatory slice of raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. It was AMAZING… but almost took me out. Why are the portions so aggressive?! 😂🍰 With sunset approaching, I head back to The Shay Hotel and make my way up to the rooftop bar for a happy hour wine. Things escalate quickly when the bartender gives me two free Hugo Spritz and a bowl of guacamole and chips - no complaints here. 🍷🥑 Then comes the BIG moment… we hop in an Uber and leave LA for Anaheim, which can only mean one thing: DISNEYLAND! 🏰✨ We check into Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn, I give you a quick room tour, and then completely FREAK OUT when I realise we can literally see World of Color and Incredicoaster from our door. Like… actual Disney California Adventure park. WHAT?! It was so surreal and made me unbelievably excited for the days ahead. The room itself was nothing special (questionable shower, tragic air con), but the location was PERFECT - just across from Pixar Place and an easy walk to the parks, which made it totally worth it. I end the vlog early the next morning, around 6am, because it was far too late to properly sign off the night before - and we needed every second of sleep before our first full day in Disneyland. ✨ Tune in to the next vlog for rope drops, a full-on park day, rides, snacks, and ALL the Disneyland magic! 🏰💫 ✨ FOLLOW ALONG Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alicepreecey/ If you love LA vlogs, Disneyland, city exploring, and food-filled travel days, make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss the rest of the series - the Disneyland vlogs are only just getting started! 🌴🏰✨
