We Tried The Chef’s Table on Royal Caribbean: HONEST Review
Is Royal Caribbean’s Chef’s Table worth the extra cost? In this dining experience review, Sean takes you through five savory courses, their wine pairings, and dessert, then explains why Chef’s Table earns five out of five - along with a few drawbacks to consider before booking. The meal begins with thinly sliced scallop, followed by smoked tomato soup, Maine lobster salad, roasted fish, and filet mignon. Each course comes with a wine pairing and an introduction from the chef and sommelier. Dessert is The World, a chocolate sphere opened with a warm sauce, accompanied by an espresso martini. Beyond the food, I discuss the presentation, the explanations behind each pairing, and the different settings I’ve experienced, including the main dining room and Solarium Bistro. The evening typically lasts two to three hours, making it a substantial part of your night onboard. My verdict: five out of five stars. The food, wine, and opportunity to learn about each course make Chef’s Table a worthwhile experience for me. I also explain why the included drinks contribute to its value - particularly when you would otherwise purchase those drinks individually. The shared table is both a highlight and a potential drawback. I’ve enjoyed meeting fellow cruisers and hearing about their travels, but your tablemates can strongly influence the evening. Service and presentation have also varied between my visits, from the welcome arrangements to how much detail the chef shares about the food. 🍽️ DINING DETAILS Experience: Chef’s Table Cruise line: Royal Caribbean Review scope: Experiences across multiple sailings Settings discussed: Main dining room and Solarium Bistro Meal shown: Five savory courses followed by dessert Drinks described: Welcome champagne, five wine pairings, and an espresso martini Duration discussed: Approximately two to three hours Seating: Shared dining table with other guests Sean’s overall rating: 5 out of 5 Prices and menu details discussed in the video reflect those visits.
