I Cruised on Harmony for 7 Days and Here's What Happened!

Join Sean aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas for a seven-night Western Caribbean cruise from Galveston, visiting Roatán, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. In this Season 1 episode of Royal Cruisers, our full-length Let’s Cruise show, I compare two very different beach days, try a Lucha Libre excursion, and find both dining highlights and disappointments onboard. In Roatán, I visit Turquoise Bay on a VIP beach excursion booked through Royal Caribbean. In Costa Maya, I try Jamie’s at Blue Reef, booked independently for roughly $200 less on this trip. Turquoise Bay’s friendly staff and clean beach impress me, but limited underwater visibility and small food portions leave me questioning the price. The comparison becomes one of the biggest takeaways from the sailing. Cozumel brings something completely different: a Lucha Libre wrestling experience. Earlier in the cruise, the ship also makes an unscheduled medical stop in Cozumel before continuing toward Roatán. Between ports, I use The Key’s scheduled activity sessions for attractions including the zipline, Ultimate Abyss and ice skating. There’s also time for the Bionic Bar, AquaTheater entertainment, champagne tasting, and specialty dining at 150 Central Park, Sabor, and Jamie’s Italian. Taste of Royal becomes a standout on the final sea day. On this sailing, my experience includes five courses with wine pairings, and I enjoyed it enough to record a separate review immediately afterward. Dinner at Chops Grille is a different story, with a disappointing lamb entrée and sides that don’t meet my expectations.
