I’m Afraid of Heights… But Took Kotor’s Cable Car Anyway!
Kotor, Montenegro served up incredible mountain views, Aperol Spritzes and some of the most delicious mussels we’ve ever had! 🇲🇪 Join us for our Norwegian Pearl cruise port day, from the Kotor Cable Car to local food in Kotor Old Town. After a 30-minute tender ride—the longest we’ve ever taken—we were heading toward the city center when a fellow passenger’s cable-car recommendation changed our plans. There was just one problem… I’m afraid of heights. 😳 But I went anyway, and those views made me SO glad I did! At the top, we explored, took plenty of pictures and stopped at Monte 1350 Bar for two Aperol Spritzes and the Monte 1350 Platter: prosciutto, Njeguši cheese, smoked pork loin, olives, figs and almonds. Good food with those mountain views? Yes, please! We bought tickets for the mountain coaster but ran out of time to ride. We still wanted to make it back to Kotor Old Town for something we weren’t leaving without—mussels! At Konoba Scala Santa, we enjoyed some of the best mussels we’ve ever eaten.
