Lost in Dubrovnik: Our Cruise Port Adventure Gone Wrong!
Exploring the Dubrovnik cruise port on your own? We navigated the city walls and public transit on our Norwegian Pearl stop. We arrived in Dubrovnik, Croatia, during our Greek Isles cruise and decided to skip the excursions to see the city on our own. It started with a ride from the port to the Old Town, where we purchased the Dubrovnik Pass to walk the historic Dubrovnik City Walls. Be warned: those walls are physically demanding with plenty of stairs and climbing, so plan accordingly if you have mobility issues. Our day took an unexpected turn when we tried to find a local restaurant near the beach. A series of navigational errors, including a mix-up with Google Maps, led us on a detour that showed us a different side of the city. While we learned some lessons about exploring without a tour guide, we still managed to catch some incredible Adriatic views and visit the famous cliffside Buža Bar.
