Is an MSC Virtuosa Cruise for £225 A Relaxing Break or Booze Cruise?
MSC Virtuosa for just £225 each for a 2-night cruise sounded like an absolute bargain — but with hen parties, stag groups, birthday celebrations and one of the busiest pool decks we've ever seen, was this actually a relaxing cruise… or a “booze cruise”? We sailed on MSC Virtuosa during a very hot UK Bank Holiday weekend, paying just £225 each for two nights. And it was certainly an experience! There were lots of large groups onboard, plenty of partying and a very lively atmosphere — particularly around the outdoor decks and bars. With temperatures reaching around 32°C, virtually everyone seemed to head outside and the pool deck was absolutely packed. But there was an unexpected upside. Because so many passengers were outside enjoying the sunshine, some of Virtuosa's beautiful indoor areas were surprisingly peaceful during the day. So while you'll sometimes hear MSC jokingly described as a **“Mostly Standing Cruise”** because finding seats in busy bars and lounges can be difficult, on this particular sailing we actually found some lovely quiet places to sit inside. We also look at: - What the atmosphere was really like on this short MSC Virtuosa cruise - The hen, stag and birthday-party crowd - Whether it really felt like a “booze cruise” - The drinks and bar atmosphere - The incredibly busy 32°C pool deck - Where we found quieter areas onboard - The food and dining - Activities around the ship - Whether £225 each really was a bargain - And most importantly — would we book another short Virtuosa cruise? And despite the lively atmosphere, Virtuosa is still a beautiful ship with plenty to offer. So was it a booze cruise? A little bit! 😂 But did we enjoy it — and would we consider another cheap short cruise? You'll have to watch to find out. 🚢 Would YOU book two nights on MSC Virtuosa for £225 if you knew it could have a big party atmosphere? Let us know in the comments.
