Costa Smeralda Adventure Part 6 - Rome, Genoa & Marseille
In our final vlog of our Costa Smeralda cruise, we visit Rome and Genoa before disembarking in Marseille. Unfortunately I was still under the weather for the latter part of the cruise so there wasn't as much exploring taking place as we would have liked. This was our second visit to Rome and we enjoyed exploring near the Spanish steps and viewing all the historical architectural masterpieces along the way. We managed some shopping prior to returning to Citivecchia to board the ship. Fortunately we returned early as there had been an incident on the train line which meant severe delays in returning to the port. Genoa was a first for us, and again it was another picturesque spot with stunning buildings and architecture and nice shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would really like to return in the near future. Our final stop was Marseille where we disembarked. As we had time to pass before flying back home we headed to Les Terrasses Du Port for a look around the shops and a nice pâtisserie to enjoy outdoors in the sunshine!
