Summer Adventure 2024 - Part 4 - MSC Virtuosa - Cherbourg
Hi Everyone!, In today's vlog we visit the port of Cherbourg. As it was a Sunday we decided that we would delay leaving the ship until later on to avoid the rush to get off the ship. Most of the shops are closed leaving open tourist shops and some bars and cafes. We started today with a light room service breakfast, with toast, cereal, pastries and orange juice. This was a nice start to the day after a few hectic days spent travelling and it gave us some time to enjoy the ship. Emily enjoyed going for a swim as we relaxed by the pool. We enjoyed lunch at the buffet, which was enjoyable as the restaurant was not crowded on a sea day. there was a nice selection and we enjoyed having something to eat prior to leaving the ship. We enjoyed going for a wonder round Cherbourg, and found a nice Patisserie open where cakes were of course purchased. Unfortunately the macaron shop wasn't open but we will be sure to visit it next time we are in Cherbourg. As the day was heating up a little, we found a really nice gelato store, where we each got some ice cream to enjoy prior to heading back onboard the ship. We enjoyed a tasty dinner in the main restaurant and the highlight was the leg of lamb, which was delicious! The carousel show Arkymea had been booked as part of our dining package, and this show was a delight to see. It really was a fantastical journey into the realms of your imagination. Afterwards we enjoyed the space led show in the galleria before visiting the late night buffet for some pizza and chips!
