Climbing DRAVUNI ISLAND, FIJI and other adventures | Royal Princess solo cruise |
My solo cruise on the Princess Cruises ship Royal Princess spent its last day in Fiji at Dravuni Island. This is the furthest East I have ever travelled on Planet Earth. A nice milestone. It was also a beach day really, with no formal shore excursions from the ship, although the rain had something to say about that. I caught the tender boat from the ship over to the island and had a wander around the local village, before following one of the walking trails that run along this small island. I didn't realise but I had embarked on a walk that would take me to the top of the island where you could see the entire length of Dravuni Island and the clear blue sea surrounding it . I explored the rest of the island and walked along the beach before returning to the ship for one last fabulous sail away from Fiji. Then there was lots of entertainment all around Royal Princess, as we started another four days at sea heading back to Sydney Australia.
