Nassau Cruise Port: Why We Treated It as a Sea Day | Caribbean Princess Day 2
Day 2 in Nassau on Caribbean Princess — we treated this stop mostly like a sea day, and after walking the port we decided our first instincts were right. Unless you have an excursion (diving, fishing, etc.), there’s not a lot of reason for us to get off anymore. In this vlog we cover: - Breakfast on the ship (All-American + smoked salmon bagel) - Walking the Nassau port / pier with multiple ships in (Disney, Carnival Celebration, Caribbean Princess) - Quick look at the straw market, duty-free, shops, and why we didn’t stay long - Back on board: cucumber water & cold towels, pool time, laundry for formal night - Formal night dinner + the Captain’s Champagne Waterfall (with a wedding couple pouring) - Evening entertainment notes and our overall take on the port Timestamps: 0:00 Welcome & Day 2 start 1:06 In port / sea-day mindset 2:15 Breakfast 3:08 Gangway & deck views 4:26 Looking out at Nassau & ships in port 6:12 Exploring the port / shops 10:01 Straw market area 13:47 Back toward the ship 17:33 Final Nassau verdict 18:00 Back on board + desserts 22:00 Laundry & getting ready for formal night 24:05 Dinner menu & formal night 25:12 Captain’s Champagne Waterfall 30:29 Wrap-up & tomorrow (Princess Cays) What do you think of Nassau as a cruise port? Do you get off or stay on the ship? Drop your thoughts in the comments. If you’re planning a Princess cruise or Bahamas itinerary, this honest look at the port (and a solid formal night) might help.
