Caribbean Princess Mini Suite D515 Tour | Balcony, Tub, and the Privacy Problem
First look inside mini suite D515 on the Caribbean Princess. The door took a few seconds to open, then we walked the whole room: tub, closet, the smallest cruise-ship safe I have seen, entry drop zone, TV placement, an extra-large bed, and an empty beverage fridge with no mini bar. Also in the room: combo shampoo and conditioner, only two towels (I will be asking for more), a hair dryer, a second TV by the couch, and plugs close enough to the bed to be useful. No USB chargers in the lamps. This ship is too old for that. The balcony is bright and easy to open and close, but there is almost no privacy. Deck 10 has an overhang. Here, people above, including the top deck, can see straight down. We booked it as a water-view mini suite, and that tradeoff is the main issue with this cabin. If you are choosing between mini suites on the Caribbean Princess, the room itself is lovely. The balcony exposure is the part I would weigh before booking D515 again.
