Projectile vomiting and diarrhea leaving Singapore!
We discuss a reported outbreak on Disney's newest cruise ship, the Disney Adventure, sailing out of Singapore, where nine people (eight passengers and one crew member) have reported severe gastrointestinal symptoms including projectile vomiting and diarrhea. We explore how norovirus and similar viruses spread rapidly on cruise ships, often due to poorly prepared and mishandled food rather than passenger hygiene alone, and provide an update that no hospitalizations have occurred so far.
