We finally went swimming with humpback whales in Aitutaki, Cook Islands, and Meghan was very nervous. This is the real build-up: Meghan in tears before we even got in the water, our new cruising friend Hannah from the boat Kotare talking about the privilege of sharing these ancestral migratory waters, and then the time in the water with the whales. A month later we swam with a humpback again, in Tonga: https://youtu.be/uGvhtIMTjLk Navigating the pass into Aitutaki: https://youtu.be/Iqwtb_PGniA — We're Steve and Meghan. We're sailing around the world on Some Tuesday, our Lagoon 450S catamaran, with our pugs Colonel Mustard and Mr. Pickles, the first pugs to cross the Pacific on a private sailing yacht. We left Los Angeles in December 2025 on a five-year circumnavigation.
