Cunard Queen Victoria Adventure - Easter 2026 - Part 5 - Gijon
Hi Everyone, Today we are heading over to Gijón in Northern Spain. This is our first visit and we were excited as we boarded the bus into town. We were dropped off at a local museum and walked a five minute walk before arriving at the Central marina where there were many boats and yachts to be found. We also discovered that this was the location of the Gijón sign. This was a fantastic photo opportunity for us before we worked our way into the centre. There are lots of fantastic shops in amongst the amazing architecture and we enjoyed browsing the many independent shops that we wouldn't get back home. Emily discovered a few Jellycat stores and was pleased to add to her collection. Tracy purchased a new bag, and the obligatory fridge magnet and Christmas ornament was also purchased. After a lot of steps and a nice time we headed back to the shuttle pick up point and we're on a bus right away. The shuttle was complimentary and we had no wait either way, first class service. Back on board we went to the Lido Grill on deck to try out the burgers. The burgers were nice and hit the spot keeping us going until dinner. We had a rest after all our walking and got reaeady to head out for dinner. The food was delightful as always. We enjoyed relaxing in the Queen's Room prior to watching the variety show in the theatre. We then retired to the cabin for an early night, but before bed we show our purchases of the day. We are really looking forward to our final port day in La Rochelle tomorrow and hope you can join us for our final port adventure of the cruise.
