We're on a 7-night Iceland Intensive Cruise aboard Celebrity Silhouette and today we're in the capital of Northern Iceland, Akureyri. On this port day we are exploring this vibrant coastal city, trying some local food, and doing some shopping. The main event today is a whale watching excursion where we hope to see Humpbacks, Orcas, and Blue Whales. Akureyri is a gem of a port city and we had an incredible time exploring this incredible place. Back on board the ship we are trying another specialty dining restaurant, Sushi on Five, before checking out more shows and seeing more whales and dolphins from the deck 5 promenade. We also review our excursion and discuss how this cruise is going so far.
