Episode 4: Visiting Toledo Ohio Via Cruise Ship - American Cruise Lines - Great Lakes Cruise
In this new travel video, I sail to Toledo, Ohio, on a 130-passenger cruise ship with American Cruise Lines. The journey starts in Buffalo, New York, and it takes more than a full day for the ship to sail all the way down Lake Erie to Toledo. There's plenty to do on the ship during the trip, as we settle in for a nearly two-week-long cruise on the Great Lakes. There was a beautiful sunset after our first afternoon of sailing, as well as a nice sunrise the next morning, as we sailed past Cleveland. Things got really interesting when the ship made it to the southwest end of Lake Erie, and entered the Maumee River for the final part of the trip in to Toledo. There were several bridges for us to pass through on the river, and it was interesting to see how the ship's captain carefully docked the ship next to the Martin Luther King Memorial Bridge on Cherry Street in Toledo. The most impressive thing in Toledo was the special lighting built in to both the Martin Luther King Memorial Bridge and the Toledo Skyway Bridge. They're both beautiful bridges during the day, but once the sun goes down they're truly incredible! The video also gives you a brief look at the National Museum of the Great Lakes, and Glass City Metropark. When you're ready to book your next cruise with American Cruise Lines, I highly recommend contacting my personal travel agent, Caitlin Gallagher, the owner of Ambren Travel.
