SURVIVING a Storm Cruise on Wonder of the Seas… (So Much Got Cancelled)
Join Sean aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas for a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay, St. Thomas, and St. Martin. In this Season 1 episode of Royal Cruisers, our full-length Let’s Cruise show, a solo sailing brings a RoyalUp cabin upgrade, specialty dining, and stormy weather that changes the plans along the way. My successful RoyalUp bid moves me from an interior cabin to a Central Park balcony. I also try The Key, including its scheduled activity sessions, and take my first FlowRider lesson. Between learning to stay upright, ice skating, and exploring the ship, there’s plenty to keep me busy. The weather becomes a big part of this sailing. Rain puts an end to my sailaway filming plans, strong winds affect our CocoCay visit, and storm remnants bring widespread excursion cancellations in St. Thomas. With outdoor activities and some shows affected too, I spend more time enjoying the ship—including a ride on the Rising Tide Bar. St. Martin delivers the highlight ashore: a private island tour with fellow creator The Traveling Island Girl. From sea grapes to guavaberry rum, the day introduces me to local flavors and becomes one of my favorite private tours. Food is another major part of the week, with visits to Hooked Seafood, Chops Grille and The Mason Jar, plus Chef’s Table and Sushi & Sake at Izumi. Chef’s Table is a standout, although by the final sea day, I’m starting to question just how much more food I can manage. Come along for an honest look at sailing solo on Wonder of the Seas, enjoying the ship when the weather interrupts your plans, and finding the experiences that still make the trip worthwhile. ⚓ CRUISE DETAILS Ship: Wonder of the Seas | Royal Caribbean Sailing: Seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise Departure and return: Port Canaveral, Florida Port stops: Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas • St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands • St. Martin Cabin: Central Park balcony, upgraded from an interior cabin through RoyalUp Traveling: Sean, sailing solo Show: Royal Cruisers | Season 1 — 2024 sailings This episode: My complete Wonder of the Seas sailing, filmed in 4K 📍 VIDEO CHAPTERS 00:00 Wonder of the Seas Eastern Caribbean Cruise Itinerary 01:28 Port Canaveral Embarkation, RoyalUp & The Key 03:08 Wonder of the Seas Central Park Balcony Cabin 04:00 Rainy Sailaway & Hooked Seafood Dinner 08:10 Perfect Day at CocoCay in Windy Weather 10:42 The Key Ice Skating Session 13:50 Wonder of the Seas Sea Day & First FlowRider Lesson 18:33 Specialty Dining & Formal Night 21:03 St. Thomas Excursion Cancellations & Port Visit 22:38 Wonder of the Seas Rising Tide Bar 23:46 The Mason Jar Dinner & Evening Entertainment 28:21 St. Martin Private Tour with The Traveling Island Girl 31:31 St. Martin Sea Grapes & Guavaberry Rum 36:47 Wonder of the Seas Sea Day & Ship Tour 40:12 Chef’s Table Dining Experience & Ice Show 40:45 Izumi Sushi & Sake on the Final Sea Day 🛳️ EXPLORE MORE Watch more Royal Cruisers: Follow our Royal Caribbean adventures, with complete sailings organized by season and cruise year. https://www.youtube.com/show/VLPLGdHP0yyduEQlwvdidVu42zBE8GdHUTyN?sbp=QAE%253D Explore our Royal Caribbean ship tours: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGdHP0yyduETKFGP5mM1yu7fF4vfb3qKi The Traveling Island Girl private tour featured in this video is no longer offered.
