Queen Mary 2 - QM2 Summer Transatlantic Crossing | 1,878 Guests WEREN’T Invited?! Day 4
There were thousands of passengers aboard Queen Mary 2… but Cunard announced that 1,878 of them were NOT invited to the party. So what exactly were we walking into? Day 4 of our summer transatlantic crossing started much differently: thick North Atlantic fog, strong wind, wet decks and temperatures around 52°F made our morning walk aboard QM2 considerably more interesting than expected. After another workout, another one-hour transatlantic time change and an unsuccessful attempt at the blackjack tournament, we got dressed and headed to the Cunard World Club cocktail party. That’s when things got interesting. Only 671 Cunard loyalty guests were invited to the event — and during the celebration we heard about Queen Mary 2’s upcoming extended refit, met some incredibly seasoned Cunard travelers and watched one of the most unusual loyalty recognitions we’ve ever seen aboard a cruise ship. One guest had accumulated an astonishing 2,217 days with Cunard and more than 24 world voyages. And another honored traveler?
