Cambridge and Peterborough Adventure - Easter 2026
Hi Everyone, Today we sadly disembarked Cunard Queen Victoria and made our way back to the Holiday Inn Eastleigh to pick up our car. We made our way up to Cambridge and used the park and ride facilities to make our way to the city centre. It turned out to be a beautiful day in Cambridge, as we soaked up the sunshine whilst enjoying the sights of the stunning university buildings, and interesting shops. We stopped at the Royal Oak Wetherspoons for a nice spot of lunch before exploring picturesque areas round about the centre. This included a walk through the market and popping in to a number of quaint shops. We soon fancied some gelato to cool ourselves down and we chose to go to Jack's gelato. Tracy had the mint chocolate chip and Lee and Emily had hazelnut. The flavour was exceptional and we would highly recommend. However it was soon time to get back on the road as we had a family visit in Peterborough. We have a quick walk through the centre of Peterborough, including the majestic Cathedral whilst visiting relatives. On the way back to the hotel we go for a five guys. Afterwards there is a review of our room at the Premier Inn Peterborough and we show the few things we got in Cambridge.
