Before you plan anything in St. Thomas, check which dock you're at. Havensite and Crown Bay are totally different days. From Havensite, downtown Charlotte Amalie is about a 20 to 25 minute walk (hello, 99 Steps). From Crown Bay, that walk isn't happening, so plan on a taxi, a private driver (what I do), or an excursion. My easy win at Havensite is the Skyride up to Paradise Point, about a 6-minute walk from the terminal. Just hang a left. You get to look right down on your own ship, and the bar up top is known for its Bushwackers. Headed to Magens Bay? Walk a little further down the shoreline. Same beach, way fewer people.
