I Stayed in a Balcony Cabin on Australia’s “Worst” Cruise Ship
Want to see what a balcony cabin is really like on one of Australia’s most controversial cruise ships? Come aboard Carnival Adventure and take a full tour of balcony cabin 12235. I recently spent 10 nights onboard on a South Pacific Cruise to New Calendonia and Vanuatu. Carnival Adventure is often described as one of the worst-rated cruise ships in Australia, with many passengers pointing to her age and condition. Originally built in 2001 as Golden Princess, she later became Pacific Adventure with P&O Australia before joining the Carnival fleet in 2025. In this Carnival Adventure cabin tour, I show you exactly what this forward balcony cabin on Deck 12 is like, including the surprisingly spacious walk-in wardrobe, storage, bathroom, shower, beds, desk, fridge, television and balcony. I’ll also talk about what it’s like staying high and forward on the ship, what we liked about the location, and whether this older cabin was actually in as good condition as expected. Is Carnival Adventure really as bad as people say? And would I choose this balcony cabin again? I’ll also be covering more of Carnival Adventure, including a full ship tour, so subscribe if you want practical, honest cruise information. As well as what I got up to in port including Noumea, Port Vila and Lifou - we didn't make it in to Mystery Island sadly. #CarnivalAdventure #CarnivalAdventureCabin #CruiseCabinTour #CarnivalCruise #BalconyCabin #CruiseAustralia
