Helicopter rescue by the U S Coast Guard
We discuss a medical emergency that occurred aboard the Carnival Jubilee cruise ship, which required the vessel to alter course and move closer to shore to facilitate a helicopter rescue by the U.S. Coast Guard. We explain how dangerous this maneuver is and highlight the bravery of the Coast Guard personnel involved in the successful airlift. We also emphasize the importance of having travel insurance and note that such rescues shouldn't be relied upon, especially in foreign waters.
