Join us as we explore Ajaccio, Corsica, France during our cruise stop and discover some of the incredible scenery, history, and Napoleon Bonaparte connections this beautiful Mediterranean island has to offer! We start with a scenic drive along the Corsican coastline to Pointe de la Parata, where we take in spectacular views of the Sanguinaires Islands, the historic Genoese watchtower, and the lighthouse in the distance. We also stop by the peaceful Saint-Antoine Chapel overlooking the Mediterranean. Then it's back into Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, to explore some of the city's most fascinating landmarks. We visit the impressive Napoleon monument at Place d'Austerlitz, step inside the beautiful Ajaccio Cathedral where Napoleon was baptized, explore Place Foch, and visit the Imperial Chapel and Bonaparte family crypt, where several members of Napoleon's family are laid to rest.
