Sutri Italy Hidden Gem, Ancient History Authentic Italian Olive Farm Experience
Come with us as we discover a hidden gem in Italy — the beautiful historic town of Sutri! On this adventure, Shannon and I head into the Italian countryside to explore Sutri, Italy, an ancient town in the Lazio region filled with incredible history, beautiful architecture, charming streets, fountains, and amazing views over the surrounding countryside. We walk through Sutri’s historic center, visit Piazza del Comune, see the beautiful Fontana dei Delfini, and learn more about the Etruscan, Roman, and medieval history that makes this small Italian town so fascinating. But our adventure doesn’t end there! 🌿🫒 We continue through the countryside to Agriturismo Valentini, a family-run organic farm near Tuscania. We tour their olive trees, learn about the production of Italian extra-virgin olive oil, and then sit down for a delicious farm-to-table Italian lunch featuring local flavors and products from the farm. This was exactly the type of experience we love when traveling — getting away from the major tourist destinations and discovering the people, food, history, and traditions that make a place special.
