Salerno Port / Amalfi Coast: Amalfi, Positano, & Sorrento in One Day!

If your cruise stops in Salerno, how much of the Amalfi Coast can you really see in one day? On our Celebrity Constellation cruise, we booked a private tour from Salerno Port with an ambitious itinerary: Amalfi, Positano, AND Sorrento — all before getting back to the ship. We started in Amalfi, explored the historic center and saw the beautiful Amalfi Cathedral before continuing along one of Italy’s most spectacular coastal roads. From there, we headed to Positano, famous for its colorful buildings cascading down the cliffs toward the Mediterranean. We also visited the Church of Santa Maria Assunta with its iconic tiled dome. But our day wasn’t over. We continued to Sorrento, giving us the chance to compare three of the most popular destinations in this part of Italy in a single day. Going into the tour, Positano was the place I was most excited to see. By the end of the day, however, our favorite surprised us.
