PHILIPSBURG ST Maarten | Marella Voyager | Solo Cruise | Paradise Islands
Marella Voyager's next stop on the Paradise Islands leg of the Caribbean cruise was Philipsburg, St Maarten. After such a busy day the day before it was nice to have a more leisurely Sunday to explore the capital of the Dutch half of the island. I took the water taxi over from the port to the town and had a walk, spotting street art, enjoying the beach and finally reaching the marina. But in the afternoon I went back to the ship to enjoy some daytime activities on Marella Voyager, including pizza at Nonnas and sunbathing on deck. Then as usual I enjoyed the food and entertainment on the ship with some of the other solos, checking out The Exchange bar which was open with live jazz and finally ending the night at the midnight buffet!
