DEATH IN PARADISE Guadeloupe becomes Saint Marie
Marella Voyager arrived in the Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe, which doubles as the fictional island of Saint Marie in the BBC Television series Death in Paradise Who could resist a trip to the TV location of Honore, Saint Marie, or should that be the town of Deshaies, Guadeloupe that is home to the Honore Police Station and Catherine’s Bar The cruise ship ran a Death in Paradise shore excursion, but as I’m more an occasional viewer than a huge fan I opted for the Botanical Gardens and Deshaies tour, that gave us an hour in the gardens before free time to explore the town where part of the TV show is filmed, visit the police station and of course have a drink in the bar with the view of the Caribbean An excellent day - I want to visit everywhere, both real and imaginary!!
