Exploring Sainte Anne de Beaupré & Father Alfred Pampalon in Quebec Canada!
We are exploring the tomb of Father Alfred Pampalon, at the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, in Quebec Canada. Father Alfred was a Redemptorist priest, known for his deep faith, devotion to Mary, and compassion for the sick and suffering. He is especially remembered as the patron for people struggling with addiction, and pilgrims often visit his tomb, seeking spiritual help and intercession, for physical and emotional ailments. After exploring the Basilica, we took a glimpse at the memorial church, just outside. It was built in 1878 on the exact site of the basilica’s former transept, using materials from that earlier stone church. Behind it you can find a serene outdoor, Way of the Cross walk, featuring fourteen stations with life-sized statues in bronze or cast-iron, each depicting a moment from the Passion of Jesus.
