Air Cairo's major new project is Hurghada, established as its second main hub in Egypt after Cairo Airport, launched around two months before the interview. 4. From Hurghada, Air Cairo now flies to over 11 points in Germany, along with destinations in Austria, Switzerland, Rome, and Milan. 5. New East Africa operations include Zanzibar, Nairobi (Kenya), and Mombasa, connected onward to their European network. 6. Hurghada also supports Hajj and Umrah travellers, with connections to Jeddah, Medina, and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. 7. Air Cairo passengers arriving at Hurghada receive a free 96-hour transit visa with their Air Cairo boarding pass. 8. The airline's fleet has grown to 42 aircraft, made up of Airbus A320s, six ATRs, and three Embraer E190s. 9. Air Cairo positions itself as Egypt's leading national carrier with the strongest domestic network, flying from five main Egyptian airports: 10. Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, Alexandria, Asyut, and Sohag, plus seasonal Nile cruise-supporting flights to Luxor and Aswan. 11. The airline is increasing focus on El Alamein International Airport, Egypt's newer North Coast destination, seen as an emerging hub for new projects and properties. 12. Upcoming route plans for next summer include flights from Cairo to Dubai World Central (DWC/Al Maktoum) Airport, plus two weekly flights from Cairo and El Alamein to Abu Dhabi.
