FALSE "man overboard"
I discuss a false man overboard alarm that was sounded on the Oasis of the Seas, which forced the crew to stop the ship and deploy emergency protocols. This is the second incident I've reported this week, and I'm concerned about the pattern continuing. I talk about the need for serious consequences, including potential criminal prosecution, lifetime bans from cruise lines, and jail time. I also express my fear that repeated false alarms could slow down response times to real emergencies, which could be life-threatening. As a cruise line attorney, I urge people never to file false man overboard claims.
