Tennessee man was arrested for allegedly beating and strangling a teenager
I discuss another serious incident involving a Carnival cruise passenger. A 43-year-old Tennessee man was arrested for allegedly beating and strangling a teenager in the O2 Lounge aboard Carnival's Mardi Gras ship last November. The arrest came six months later after the man was simply allowed to disembark. Most troubling is that the ship's captain, Alessandro Lemmi, sent a letter to all passengers asking them to delete video footage from their phones as evidence of the crime, claiming the ship had sufficient CCTV footage. As a lawyer who has sued Carnival, I express serious concerns about trusting the cruise line's evidence retention practices. The case is progressing with a court date scheduled for August.
