Miltenberg is a beautiful old town located on the banks of the Main River. The Zwillingstor Mainbrücke spans the Main, Miltenberg Castle stands on the slopes of Odenwald Hill, and the Würzburg Gate guards the northern end of the old town. Colorful Fachwerkhaus line the cobblestone main street. The Marktplatz and Engelplatz are particularly charming, and the Hotel Zum Riesen is one of the oldest hotels in the world.
